THE APRIL ANTICS!

THE APRIL ANTICS!

Uh, oh!  It’s April 1st, and you know what that means . . . Pranks-a-plenty!

The children are just getting up, and Muffy tries to put on her bunny slippers.

“What’s the matter?  My feet won’t fit!  They fit yesterday . . . “

She picks up one of her slippers, and out fall some marbles!  “Huh?  That’s strange!  What’s going on?”

Next, the children sleepily wander over to the breakfast table.  Alice has their breakfast all ready . . .

“Hey!  There’s something in my cereal besides cereal!”  Fuzzy shouts!  “Mine too!”  Fluffy gasps!  “Mine too!”  Echos Muffy!

“MOM!”  THERE’S SOMETHING IN OUR CEREAL!”  They all yell!  (All they hear back is a soft snicker . . . )

“Uh, oh!  What’s the date?”  Queries, Fluffy as she looks over at the calendar.  It is!  It’s April 1st!  It’s April Fool’s Day!”

Hmmm . . . The children wonder after they finish picking “some things” out of their cereal.  “What fun prank can we  play on our mother?”

“I know!” says Fluffy.  “Let’s fill a candy box with vegetables!”  They find a fancy box, fill it with broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, and tie it up with a pretty red ribbon.

They present it to their mother, who appears to be surprised!

With her mouth watering, she opens the box and . . .

“What?  Instead of some delicious tasting candy, there’s only vegetables!  Oh, what a good prank,  you cute little pranksters!”

Next, while Cornelius is helping by making Muffy’s bed, Fuzzy quietly attaches a sign to his father’s back.

Cornelius is nearly knocked down when his whole family runs and gives him a big hug!

“I love hugs, but with everyone giving me one at the same time?  I think I’ve been pranked!  Is there something on my back, you cute little rascals?”  “Yes, yes, they all shout in unison!”

“Oh, that was fun!”  The children shout!  “We always love the pranks played on April Fool’s Day!”

Happy April Fool’s Day to All!

They can “bear-ly” wait for you to come and visit again . . .
