THE VALENTINE VISITORS!
It’s Valentine’s Day!
The Vanderbears have decorated their cottage with all kinds of hearts . . .
At the front gate . . .
On the mantle . . .
Around the hutch . . .
And even in the bathroom!
Cornelius and Fuzzy decide that since the porch tree looked so festive decorated for Christmas, that they need to cover it with red hearts for Valentine’s Day!
After all the decorating is completed, the cubs get out paper, pencils, glue and scissors to make valentines for their family and friends.
Later that afternoon, Alice (Fluffy and Muffy – who seem to always be sitting someplace precarious), make delicious heart-shaped cookies.
After dinner, they hear a knock at the door! The three cubs run to see who it is!
Nobody there! But what’s on the doormat?
Yippee! Three valentines!
Did they catch a glimpse of the valentine pranksters? (Maybe!) Besides they may have also heard giggling!
Later, another knock on the door! This time they rush to see if someone else has left valentines!
It’s Grandma and Grandpa! (They can’t run very fast anymore!)
Since they were “caught,” Grandma and Grandpa are invited in to enjoy some “Valentine Vittles” with the family.
Cookies and more cookies, all washed down with red punch! Yum! Perfect bear fare!
Afterwards, they all sit around the fireplace and reminisce about how fun it is to have “Valentine Visitors” – seen and unseen!
Happy Valentine’s Day to All!!
They can “bear-ly” wait for you to come and visit again . . .
