THE “EGG-CITING” EASTER!

THE "EGG-CITING" EASTER!

It’s almost time for Easter, so the Vanderbears start decorating their cottage.

The garlands go up . . .

Inside . . .

(More inside . . . )

And out!  (Better yet, spring has finally sprung!)

The children can hardly wait to start dyeing the eggs!  So they get out some bowls, dye, vinegar, and of course some hard boiled eggs.  (Things are getting messy!)

They look beautiful, and are placed on the table for all to admire.

Easter has finally arrived . . .

And the children awake and begin the most “egg-citing” part of Easter – the Big Egg Hunt!

They’re everywhere!  On the porch and all over the inside of their cottage.

Be careful, Fuzzy!  Some are pretty hard to reach!  “What fun!” He yells!

After church (where they learn the true meaning of Easter), they return to the cottage and try to arrange themselves to have their annual “Bonnets and Bows” picture taken.

What a great shot!  The Vanderbears are looking very festive in their Easter finery!

After the picture is taken, everyone pitches in to help prepare for yet another memorable bear- worthy feast!

For this holiday, they are having a “Bunny Brunch!”

Bunny Pasta Casserole . . .

A broasted chicken . . .

Assorted veggies . . .

Yummy eggs . . .

Bacon, of course . . .

Assorted fruits . . .

Fancy cheese and crackers . . .

Baby carrots . . .

Cute bunnies on buns  . . .

All finished off with dessert . . .

And more from Alice’s “bakery . . . “

Still more . . .

And finally they reach the end of the buffet line with they’re plates brimming over!

They all sit down to enjoy their “Bunny Brunch.”   Yum!  It all looks delicious!!

Almost all of it is quickly devoured, with more trips to the buffet still to come!

“After all this work, there is hardly anything left!”  Alice sighs . . . “and with this bunch, they’ll all be hungry again before the day is gone.  I hope they like leftovers!”

Before they head off to bed later that evening, they all marvel at what a wonderful Easter it has been . . .

“An Easter Egg hunt!  Nice new bonnets and bows to wear to church!  A yummy brunch, and the rest of the day eating our way through the chocolate bunnies and jelly beans!  What a day!”  Say the pleasantly stuffed family.

They all agree that they can hardly wait for another “Egg-citing” Easter to roll around again next year!

Happy Easter to All!!

They can “bear-ly” wait for you to come and visit again!
