A HALLOWEEN HAPPENING!
Halloween is almost here!
Alice has made bandanas for everyone, including Lulu, Rascal and Purrlie! (Purrlie is taking one of her famous “cat naps,” and missed being in the picture!)
The cottage is decorated for the spookiest time of the year!
The cubs love to help their mother decorate for Halloween!
They see to it that every little detail . . .
Inside . . .
and out, is carefully taken care of before Halloween!
Cornelius helps decorate the porch . . .
With pumpkins and bats, to invite in the neighborhood trick-or-treaters!
The children have chosen their costumes. Fluffy and Muffy want to be witches, and Fuzzy a scary ghost!
Alice gets right to work, and sews the costumes together. She also finds hats, and makes them masks and matching treat bags.
The pumpkins are carved . . .
Some Halloween treats prepared . . .
And candy put into a festive basket to hand out to all the costumed guests!
The day has arrived and Halloween is finally here!
The cubs can hardly wait to get into their costumes and have their picture taken!
But before they leave, there’s a knock on the door . . .
Alice and Cornelius open the door . . .
“Trick-or-treat!” The masked visitors yell! “Oh, my! It’s a cute cat and a bat. Now, who can it be?” Alice muses.
“It’s us, Mr. & Mrs. Vanderbear! Your next door neighbors! Don’t you recognize us?” The duo exclaims!
“Oh! They are such good costumes, we weren’t sure who it was. Won’t you please come in? We’d love to take your picture too!”
What a scary (and cute) looking bunch! (Apparently, Purrlie is still napping!)
Alice and Cornelius then hand the Cat and the Bat some treats as Fuzzy, Fluffy and Muffy join them. “Have fun!” The parents say, as they bid them all farewell.
The children excitedly leave to go around the neighborhood, scaring everyone in sight!
Later that evening, the cubs return with their tummies full and their bags filled to the top!
“What fun!” They all shout! “Look what we got!”
“I love Halloween!” Says Fluffy. “I love to scare everyone!” Shouts Fuzzy! “I love to go outside in the dark and get candy!” Chimes in Muffy!
Happy Haunting to All!
They can “bear-ly” wait for you to come and visit again . . .
