GREENIE DAY GRUB!
St. Patrick’s Day is on it’s way!
The cottage is being decorated . . .
(In everything they can find that’s green . . .)
Including themselves!
After admiring all the green, they decide it will be fun to eat everything green for dinner too!
“Oh, yes!” Says Muffy. “I know there are some green grapes in the cupboard!”
“Green apples too!” Shouts Fluffy!
“Let’s see what else is green in here!” The cubs excitedly exclaim!
“I found green beans and green peppers!” Yells Fuzzy, who has joined the hunt in the cupboard.
“I found all kinds of green things to go in a green salad.” Cornelius says, while looking in the ice box . . .
“There’s two kinds of lettuce, two kinds of peas, and other green salad fixins. There’s even green pasta! Hmmm . . . Here’s pickles to serve on the side! Yum!”
They put everything green they have found on the table, and are amazed at how much they have already gathered!
Next, Alice dons her apron and announces . . .
“I’ll cook us some traditional corned beef and cabbage, along with some “Irish” potatoes. Green tea or green dyed milk should round out everything nicely!”
Don’t forget green desserts!” Shout the cubs, as they scurry around and find cupcakes, green apple pie and assorted green cookies and candy.
It’s all set up on the buffet . . .
And looks green and delicious!
“What great Greenie Day Grub!” Cornelius says as they sit down to dinner. “Will it turn our tongues green?” Asks a concerned Muffy . . .
“Let’s find out!” The rest of family chimes in. “Let’s eat!”
