SEWIN' AND SNOOZIN'!
Alice is looking for a “project” to keep her busy through the long days of winter. She especially loves to sew!
She has made curtains . . .
And lots and lots of tablecloths and napkins. (Winter days seem to go on forever!)
She also likes to use her spinning wheel . . .
And crochets and knits too (not to mention all of the mending). This time though, she tackles something different.
She was looking through her magazine (Best Dressed Bears), when she came upon some patterns for comfy clothes to wear to bed. “Perfect,” she thought. “What bear doesn’t like to go to bed in style?”
She gets out her sewing machine, material, scissors, pins, patterns and anything else she might need.
Not only is she a talented seamstress, but she’s fast too, and the bed clothes are whipped out in no time!
She makes nightshirts and caps for Fuzzy and Cornelius . . .
And fancy nightgowns and “ensembles” for Fluffy, Muffy and herself.
When she’s finished, she has everyone try them on.
Cornelius . . .
Herself . . .
Fuzzy (looking just like his father, even down to the monogram on his pocket) . . .
Fluffy (with holes for her bear ears, just like her mother’s) . . .
And “cutie-pie” Muffy, who even has a bed jacket!
As soon as they are all in their bed attire (and a picture taken), something strange happens . . .
It’s not bedtime yet, but one by one they all wander over to their beds. (Alice is already there, as she’s exhausted from all the sewing!)
Fluffy and Fuzzy climb into their cozy beds . . .
As well as Muffy.
She quickly drifts off . . .
Closely followed by the twins . . .
And Cornelius and Alice are soon snoozin’ (and snorin’) too.
So . . . even though it’s a warm and comfy cottage where they stay awake most of the winter, they can’t help themselves, and all fall into a deep bear-sleep. Must be time for that long winter’s nap . . .
Zzzz . . . Sweet Dreams!
Happy Napping to All!!
They can “bear-ly” wait for you to come and visit again . . .
